One of a few programs that I cannot live without, MindManager has been an integral part of my toolset for some time, so I have been looking forward to this new release and have to say that I like it… apart from a small bug…
I have always set the application to open a specific Map at start-up, however with the new 2012 version I get a consistent error…

I understand that this error has been seen in previous versions, and a fix was issued for MindManager 8, but this registry fix does not have any effect with the new version.
After clicking OK, MindManager closes.
Of course this is going to repeat now each time I try to open the application as it is set to open a specific Map.
So, browse to the location of the Map that is being opened at start-up and rename it, so that MindManager cannot find it.
I can now start-up MindManager and remove the setting to open the Map at start-up.
Unfortunately, if I now try to open the Map that I was using at start-up, it has been corrupted, on opening, I get the following infinite looping error…

At this point I am relieved to know that I have a regular backup routine and a corrupted file is not too much of an issue.
Re-instate from backup, and avoid the “open document on start-up” facility, at least until their is a fix
